Sudarshana mantra and procedures are defined in Ahirbudhanya Samhita. Sudarshana chakra is the identification of maha Vishnu Vishnu, he uses it as a weapon. Sudarshana Chakra was used by Maha Vishnu to behead Rahu’s head at the time of drinking Amrita. Valmiki Ramayana says Maha Vishnu killed a Danava named Hayagriva on top of Chakravana mountain constructed by Vishvakarma and took away Sudarshana Chakra from him. In Maha bharata, Krishna Killed Shaishupala by Sudarshana Chakra at the time of Rajasooya Yaga. In the Mahabharata battle, Lord Krishna creates an artificial sunset using his Sudarshana Chakra to kill Jayadratha.

Sri Sukta Homam

As per the Vedas, there are five different Sukthas, and Shri Suktha is one amongst the five sukthas. The word “Sri” has a contextual Significance: in the sense it personifies and relates to the auspiciousness of the Goddess. Lakshmi Devi as the better half of the Lord Vishu also epitomizes the power and splendor of the Lord. The word Sri also personifies the regal qualities of Lakshmi Devi.
